SIX WAYS TO BOUNCE BACK!

MMD weekend!

 

After a long three day weekend it's easy for us to indulge.  Which I support, you work hard during the week so treat yo self!

 

Truth is if we indulge, we want to hit it hard during the week to get back on track.  I've been there plenty of times and here are my six favorite ways to bounce back from a indulgent weekend!
 

  • WATER.  First thing in the morning drink a cool glass of H2O with a lemon.  The lemon will help detox and cleanse the system serving as a reset for your digestive system and liver. I like to drink 16 oz. of water with about two lemon wedges!

  • Get in a morning workout.

    Working out the first morning after a long weekend may not sound like the most enticing thing to do, but it will make you feel like a new wo(man)! I prefer a good sweaty cardio session to reset, for example I prefer spinning

  • EAT GREEN AND LEAN.  After a weekend of bbq's and brews our bodies are craving fresh food.  Aim to incorporate green vegetables into every meal and snack on fresh fruit in between meals.

  • Meditate.  Bouncing back is more than physical, it's mental too! We're all getting back to the grind today.  Take 20 minutes out of your day to simply be still.  Let go of any thoughts that cause you stress and instead fill your mind with positive and empowering affirmations.  Relax and just be, it's only 20 minutes :)

  • SLEEP. Make it a goal to get to bed early tonight! This is crucial time for your body to recover. Results are made with adequate recovery time. Aim for at least seven hours and I bet you'll feel like yourself again come Wednesday!

  • MORE WATER. Aside from your morning lemon water cleanse.  I want you all to make a goal to drink half your body weight in water.  What this means is if I weigh 140 lbs. the recommended daily water intake is 70 ounces.  Just do it! Regardless of the constant bathroom breaks, your body and mind will love you ;)
