WOW IT'S BEEN A WHILE

HELLO MY LOVES!

IT'S BEEN SO LONG, AND IT'S MY BAD.  FINDING A BALANCE WITH MY TRAINING, CLASSES, PROJECTS AND PERSONAL LIFE HAS BEEN TOUGH, BUT I AM BLESSED BEYOND BELIEF.  I'm finally feeling like I've found my flow in New York City, I've found a family at FlyWheel and a incredible community that is aligned with what I want to be a part of.

Things are going GREAT, but with a high energy lifestyle, comes an occasional low.  I've recently hit mine.  Today I'm going to share with you how I got out of my FUNK and got back on track after a SLUMPY week.

Slumpy is definitely not a real word, but that's exactly how I was feeling last week.  Last week I was moving very slowly, unmotivated, tired and all I wanted to do was LAY.  I wanted to eat junk badly because that's just where my mind was.  I gave in a time or two, you know that "being human life".  After the third day of having low energy and no drive.  I chose the higher road and went with a healthier GREENER option. I can't tell you how much a simple food choice made such a difference on my attitude and energy levels.

Here is one of my current favorite GREEN SMOOTHIES I like to make before class or for a afternoon pick me up ! I added avocado for an AMAZING creaminess that makes it smooth not icy.  

YOUR GREEEEEN SMOOTHIE RECIPE

  • One organic avocado
  • One organic banana
  • 1/2 cup frozen strawberries
  • One cup unsweetened almond milk
  • Two cups spinach
  • 1/2 cup ice
  • Drizzle of honey and dash of cinnamon

Blend and ENJOY!  Packed with healthy monounsaturated fats, carbs to fuel your workout and potassium to fuel your muscle recovery post-workout.
